Winning Word for the Day

There's always the motivation of wanting to win. Everybody has that. But a champion needs, in his attitude, a motivation above and beyond winning.

Earth Day -- I don't think so!

Subtitle:  "anti" Christ is a tree hugger...

The prefix "anti" according to the dictionary is as follows:
opposed to; against
a person opposed to a particular policy, activity, or idea
opposed to; against : antiaircraft.
• preventing : antibacterial.
• reversing or undoing : anticoagulant | antigravity | antipruritic.
• the opposite of : anticlimax.
• Physics the opposite state of matter or of a specified particle : antimatter | antiproton.
• acting as a rival : antipope.
• unlike the conventional form : anti-hero.
ORIGIN representing Greek anti ‘against.’

Why grammar 101?  Because society in general and, especially religious society the term "anti-christ" is so thought of as simply an individual that will eventually show on the scene of the world's stage and mark the next chapter in the saga "'The Beginning of the End' but, That's Not Really the End, It's Just the Beginning".  That is true and will happen, but the spirit of "anti" CHRIST is already running prevalent in our world today.  We need to as Christians recognize that there is not an anti-religious movement -- It is strictly an anti-Christ movement.

So, let me begin.  I was on my way to work this morning, and was listening to the radio and heard that today is Earth Day.  Immediately! My spirit-man leaped inside of me.  Not with a since of joy, but of a call to arms as if a ranking officer in the military just walked in the room and said someone just attacked our home base.

Why you asked so serious and dramatic?  Once again, if we as Christians don't awake, rise up and answer the call to arms this -- anti-Christ, anti-Cross, anti-Blood, anti-Easter, anti-Good Friday --  peaceful, tree-loving, wonderfully encouraging day for simply recycling (sarcasm),  pagan, humanistic, snake-fully sly, political deception will; in all its efforts try to make the Cross of Christ null, void and to no avail.  The same thing has already been in the works for years now in the callusing cold and hard, the hearts of Christians in the defense of the "Christmas" story, season and holiday.  It is not that people want to do away with a holiday -- they simply want to evolve it into a more politically correct coexist-ance of an anti-Christian holiday.  If we sit idly by at this kairos moment in the Kingdom we are forfeiting our most significant event in the history of all time.  The Blood that Jesus Christ, Redeemer of all mankind, Savior of the world is worth standing up for.

The news piece that was referencing earth day was not a Christian broadcast or even FoxNews, but they gave the statistics that -- out of 1000 different stories that were broadcast: 100% of the earth day stories were positive, and 92% of the Easter stories were of severe negativity (siting mostly the Catholic church's child abuse scandals).  The story went on to site several communities in Florida that have, for several years been making concentrated efforts to change the naming of their Easter events to "Spring" events -- including the "Spring Bunny". (You have got to be kidding me!)
Do these few illustrations mean that Easter as we know it is now gone?  Of course not! However, the peaceful, well-meaning efforts of so called activist are being used knowingly or unknowingly by the enemy of the Cross, Satan, the anti-Christ spirit to steal, kill and destroy the one place that divides everything -- even time.

The ultimate show of love that God sent His son to die on a cross as the Savior of mankind on this day over 2000 years ago shall and will stand alone as the only event marked on this day.  It is not going to be watered down and forgotten, swept under the rug by the media as an unacceptable gruesome event that is not politically correct, or coincidently embraced as Earth Day so as to distract the true reason for Good Friday.  I challenge you, do not be deceived, do not take this lightly, do not simply hug a tree -- You need to kneel at the CROSS.

Winning Word for the Day

Emotions and perceptions are two of the main weapons the enemy uses to cause your focus to become blurred from your Kingdom purpose.

Embrace the Embrace

In my process of trying to discipline myself to be consistent and create a habit of journaling -- through this blog -- I discovered a phrase, "Embrace the Embrace".  A couple of days ago I was sharing about metamorphosis how there is a stage in that process that the cocoon so engulfs the caterpillar that a level of suffocation seems inevitable.  The organism is still alive, it is still the same being, but it is going through a process.  For it, it will only go through once. For us, it might take a couple of times before are wholly what God desires us to be.  Thank God for grace.
Embrace the embrace is more than just a changing process though.  So many people refuse the changing thing that they never learn to accept the suffocating embrace that accompanies it.  Two visual pictures of the "embrace" that I have played with in my minds eye; are that of a child after something doesn't go their way and the parent is trying to bring the situation to an end they try to give the child a hug -- embrace them, and the child refuses.  Stiff as a board they pull away, or simply stand there and let the parent try to give love and affirmation.  But to no avail the child just wants no part of it at this time.  Even though it is for their best in the development and proliferation of problem solving and relational growth.
The second happens to be my favorite memories as a dad, and previously as a son.  That moment in time when you fall asleep, just enough to be asleep, but you still kind of know what is going on around you.  Dad reaches down and picks you up to carry you to bed, and you wrap your arms and legs around him, and embrace his embrace for the ride that is like no other.  The peaceful security that daddy is carrying you.  You bury your head in his shoulder to the point of suffocation.  To be tucked in and wrapped in a cocoon of blankets until morning.  Only to awaken one day to big to be carried to bed any longer.  Those days have passed for me as a son and as a father, but as a son of the Most High those days never have to end.  Because no matter my size, age, status in life, or even what time I go to bed -- He is still a BIG ENOUGH DADDY GOD to pick me up in His embrace.

Embrace the Embrace

Metamorphosis as defined by the dictionary is:  a profound change in form from one stage to the next in the life history of an organism, as from the caterpillar to the pupa and from the pupa to the adult butterfly.  I have to admit my remembrance of biology 101 was a little sketchy.  However, one of the first keys to wisdom is knowing where to find the knowledge.  There are stages of development in all things, whether they are natural or spiritual.  The life of the Winners Church has in many ways started its entrance into the metamorphosis stage.  We were birthed, developed, gained, grew and became a very good (even great in certain things) caterpillar.  The caterpillar though as wonderful and great as it may be is not what that organism is called to actually be -- it was birthed to be a butterfly.  As amazing, diligent, productive, _________________ (whatever description you want to use) the caterpillar is -- it is still not finished or even close to what it is SUPPOSE to be.   The Winners Church is in the same situation with the little caterpillar.  We are moving into a stage of transition, segue, shift, development, confinement.  Some of those words and the meaning behind them absolutely terrify some people, but they are the only way you make the metamorphosis productive.  You can chose to stay in the stage of the caterpillar and crawl around your entire existence and even be good at crawling, but why???  You have to embrace the embrace.  You have to be willing to find the secret place.  That place where God can develop in you the things He wants and needs in you in order to fly.  The things that many organism, churches and especially people are not willing to go through.  The metamorphosis is for YOU, and you are for HIM.  When we learn that principle we have the opportunity to make it through any process, any challenge, any storm, anything and know that it is for me -- not against me.

More coming later on "Embrace the Embrace" -- Living in the suffocating confines of transition...

There's No Place Like Home

Been out of the loop for several days, but I am glad to be back.  Even as refreshing as a get-away can be -- there's no place like home.
We are so excited about the coming weeks here at the Winners Church that sometimes its hard to communicate the excitement.  There are certain experiences that can only be communicated through the actual "Experience" itself.  For instance -- you can read all the books, watch all the videos, YouTube and Google it,  and even go into a simulator for "How to Skydive," but nothing is going to compare until you actually jump out of the plane.  So consider yourself invited to come experience the Winners Church.  Check back over the next couple of days and weeks to get plugged into the life of a WINNER.  It really is Better Experienced Than Explained!

April "Fools" Day

The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." Psalm 14:1 NAS

WOW!  I was going to go through and post all the verses that are in the Bible to help us get wisdom rather than foolishness.  To my surprise there are a BUNCH! In the Message Bible there are about 130 references to "a fool".
I personally have started using the Message Bible to do a lot of my personal reading time...Simply for the easy of understanding and vast amounts of sarcasm it uses, and that we miss in other English translations from the original Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic.
Here are just a few:

  1. You're only asking for trouble when you send a message by a fool.
  2. Hire a fool or a drunk and you shoot yourself in the foot.
  3. Answer a fool in simple terms so he doesn't get a swelled head.
  4. A proverb quoted by fools is limp as a wet noodle.
  5. The wise accumulate wisdom; fools get stupider by the day.
  6. Fools care nothing for thoughtful discourse; all they do is run off at the mouth.
  7. Having a fool for a child is misery; it's no fun being the parent of a dolt.
  8. Fools are headstrong and do what they like; wise people take advice.
  9. As a dog eats its own vomit, so fools recycle silliness.
  10. Pound on a fool all you like-you can't pound out foolishness.
  11. No more will fools become celebrities, nor crooks be rewarded with fame.
  12. Fools on the road have no sense of direction. The way they walk tells the story: "There goes the fool again!"
  13. Wise conversation is way over the head of fools; in a serious discussion they haven't a clue.
  14. Fools incubate sin; cynics desecrate beauty. Rescue the Perishing
  15. We no more give honors to fools than pray for snow in summer or rain during harvest.
  16. A whip for the racehorse, a tiller for the sailboat-and a stick for the back of fools!
  17. Putting a fool in a place of honor is like setting a mud brick on a marble column.
  18. Dullards never notice what you do; fools never do get it.
  19. Well, think again, you idiots, fools-how long before you get smart?
  20. Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.
These are just 20 instances that God has given us to help show us how to not be a foolish idiot.  Our purpose and destiny is to advance the Kingdom.  It is hard to be an ambassador or a King's representative if we are constantly acting like the court's jester -- a FOOL.  This responsibility falls (in my opinion) directly on the father.  As the family unit has disintegrated over this and the last generation we see the level of foolishness skyrocketing.  If you look back at #11 in the list you see "No more will fools become celebrities, nor crooks be rewarded with fame."  There are more fools as celebrities and getting their 15 minutes of fame like never before.  Why??? Because the family unit has lost all ability to provide discipline, and that comes when there is no father present -- OR/AND -- a father as depicted   by the foolishness of the world.  Now, since this is online and online you can create a visual that you usually can't create.  Simply take a look at how the depiction of "Dads" have changed over the last 60 years just on television.

Father Knows Best

My Three Sons

Leave it to Beaver

Little House on the Prairie

As you can see up to this point the Dads were a very vital part of the story in level of foolishness that was present, or the lack there of.  The transition starts with humor and laughter to create a callousness for the removal of respect and nuggets of wisdom that was a normal occurrence being passed down from the father.  Let the laughter begin...
All in the Family

Sanford & Son

Brady Bunch

Good Times

Cosby Show

Now, that we have become accustom to the Dad being the punch-line rather than the life line...Let's see how foolishness abounds???
Married with Children

The Simpsons

Home Improvements
The modern portrayal of the father figure has a direct correlation with the downward spiral of the family, which in turn also causes "Foolishness" to abound in abundance.

All of this is meaningless if I simply present it, and don't provide you with a solution.  Here it is...He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children. Malachi 4:6

God is raising up fathers (Spiritual Fathers) whose desire is to grow a generation that has a heart for God; which roughly translates to having a "heart for wisdom".  Laughter is good like a medicine, but you can even overdose on medicine.  Have a great and fun April Fools Day, but don't get lost in the folly.
