Wednesday at service I shared with everyone the need to journal. Some may think this is not a necessity. I must admit it has never been a priority of mine either. However, as I grow spiritually in the Lord and naturally grow older I find myself desiring to chronicle what God is doing in my life and the life of those around me. For me there is a correlation or parallel to the ancient times of leaving landmarks for those that will come after to point there way through the empty places of their lives. My goal in advancing the Kingdom is not just to make it to heaven for myself, but to take as many with me as possible. That can happen right now, and even after I am gone through the generational process. You may be asking yourself "how is there a correlation between journaling, landmarks and generations?" For me, I have discovered the more I document what God is doing through me and around me -- The more I actually realize (see) Him do. So, as I see God moving and train those that I have reproduced myself in spiritually to also document His mighty works it allows for encouragement and it helps them build their faith muscles to believe for bigger things. This is the same process used in ancient times when the children of Israel would leave landmarks and altars at certain places along their journeys. Don't miss out on what God is doing. Start noting the small things so that you can be found faithful to handle the BIG things.
